Hey folks,

Need some help here. So I finally got my case nmbr (I am the petitioner of K-1Visa). I tried to check the status through WWW.CEAC.COM. I entered my case number. A little window shows up which says follow the instructions by NVC. I am not sure how it is supposed to be. Can anyone please help me

NVC has nothing to instruct you are . You need to be on your embassy website and following instructions what to do since you have your vase# now.

Then your case status is most likely still "At NVC". It may take some time for them to mail it out.

> Next would be "In Transit", meaning your case file is en route to the consulate.

>Then finally, it will say "Ready", which indicates the embassy received your case file and ready for interview when scheduled with the embassy.

What civil doc and fee? Are you applying for K-1 visa or IR1/CR1?

Your profile says K1, but I read from another thread you used "hubby" in reference to your petitioner. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/513828-visa-check-status-help/page-2#entry7250440

If you're indeed married, then you have a different circumstance as the OP. Check the NVC process here for info: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process
