The campaign of San Diego Republican congressional candidate Carl DeMaio hired and hours later fired a new campaign aide after racist, sexist, and anti-Semitic tweets by the new employee were discovered online, reports San Diego Beat.

Former San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio, who is running for the Congressional seat held by Democrat Scott Peters, fired college student Blaise Hahs after tweets containing hashtags like ‘#smartniggaprobzz’ and comments such as “Who wants to drink Vodka tonight? Must have a ####### though,” were discovered on his Twitter timeline.

Ironically, the DeMaio camp retweeted Hahs’ announcement that he had been hired by the campiagn, with Hahs writing he was “beyond stoked that I’ll be a regional political director for Carl DeMaio’s congressional campaign.”

The candidate added, “Welcome aboard.”

Is Blaise Hahs black?

He used the word stoked. That should be your clue he wasn't black.

He used the N word as well. That's why I wasn't sure. That word is used more often by black folks than anyone else. Stoked does imply some pot smoking white surfer dude though.

I wouldn't be so sure. I play online and there's always some white dude saying it with his group. The guys I play with that are black know not to say it around me.

That's true. My wannabe thug nephews use the N word 5 times in every sentence, and they're white.

My british group has a 15 year old who loves to say it. You can tell he's white and trying too hard to be cool. Had to let him down easy since he thought I was white.

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

I commend you for posting a positive example of a white republican standing up against an isolated case of racially insensitive language
