help some question on filling ds-230 line no. 31a and 31b

Hi good day to all!

We got the letter from NVC last july and my mother pay the AOS fee and filled up the ds-261 online. Last September 8 IV fee is ready for payment. I have 5 children included in my case , they are all minors. My question is, can I pay iv fee each of my children and decide to bring them later? What if I include them in 31b of DS-230 will they follow before 6 months after i immigrating?. The reason is my mother is very old and cannot support us all so i need to go first and help her..
