If I were guaranteed to wait 7 months, I would take it. I think 6 is excellent, 8 is on the long side but normal and 9 is god-awful long.

I hope you still feel that way after 6 months...especially if you haven't seen your fiance' for that long or longer. With the current processing time at TSC, I think you will see an approval long before that though.

I seriously recommend seeing him or her as much as possible during the wait as it eases the pain of waiting. :)

P.S. If I was "guaranteed" to wait at least 7 months, I would not have gone the K-1 route TBH.

I feel you. I am fortunate in the sense that I live in Houston and my fiance is from Mexico. At the end of the day, she is a two hour flight away. I will definitely see her November and December, after that, there are no real holidays lumped into the weekends that I can fit a vacation into -- that is the hard part. Hopefully receive an NOA2 in February. To add on top of that my fiance is 7 weeks pregnant with our first child. That's tough, but I have no choice but to be positive or I will drown in grief.

Man... if we were that close, I would be seeing my boy every weekend! With our across-the ocean distance, we have already had 4 meetings this year. And were thinking about the fifth one, but I had to take the project at work, which will last until early December. But we are already planning our New Year with his family in Georgia, whether our petition gets approved by that time or not  Hopefully, it will be, though - our 5 month processing period ends on November 9th.

First..congrats on the pregnancy. :dancing:

Being so close is definitely a plus and I would certainly take advantage of that. Any period of separation is tough and we can only hope for it to be as brief as possible. Hopefully you will not have to wait very long and you can make the midnight run for pickles in the very near future :).

I hear you. If I had known this was going to take 9 to 9.5 months (provided I get my NOA2 between now and 7 months), I would have already seen her again last month. I was timing our next visit to coincide with me bringing her home which I was hoping to do this month or early next month so I put it off. I only get 22 days each year so I only have enough for one more trip this year. Hopefully, I will get her here just before Christmas which will be a few days shy of a year since I last saw her :(. This whole process really sucks.

4 times across the ocean would put a nice dent in my savings. :) Nice that you are that committed and your job allows it.

I am committed, but my job does not allow it :). I think you meant Sekhvaruli. Four trips is possible for me if I had the time off, but sadly, I do not.

You are too kind...thank you :)

We were extremely fortunate and unexpected.

Our petition was approved in 22 days.

Which was in some ways too fast!

We expected estimate within 5 months.

Less than a month after we filled and it was approved and then everything else flew by.

My heart breaks for those who wait months for their approval.

I for one pray it's accurate - I am in grad school full-time so we won't be seeing each other until the K-1 is issued. At our ages I thought I could be more logical about the wait but missing the one you love, at any age, is dreadful.
