Thanks. And yes... the 'dilemma' turned out to be not much of a dilemma at all since the first employer made me an offer that was prima facie unacceptable so I was able to make a decision on that one in a matter of seconds. I didn't need to keep them hanging at all.

Oo that's what you wanted, right?

You bet. I would have considered making the commute out to the city if there was a lot more money involved... but as it turned out, they offered me a larger nominal dollar value in NJ than they did in NYC, which I wasn't expecting at all. I was all prepped for a dilemma and had my thinking cap on .... oh well back into storage it goes.
