Hi Folks,

After waiting for 5 months USCIS approved my I-130 form and forwarded my entire document to NVC. My case is at NVC since June 30th by August NVC send us two emails one was for my husband to fill out form DS-261 and for me to pay AOS fee. Once payment was clear then we received another email to submit I-864 affidavit of support with cover letter they send. On August 18 NVC received my I-864 form with all supporting document. However, NVC is now requesting for Original documents such as Birth certificate marriage certificate Passport copy and police clearance report for my husband without any confirmation of supporting document and without fill up of DS-260 payment. As far as my understanding all this information are to be presented at time of my husband interview. I am hesitant to send my original document to NVC here.

Kindly let me know is it good to send all my original document without fill up of DS-260 even i'm not getting any email from NVC to payment of Packet-iv. Should i wait or send all these original documents.

Thank You

P

Sounds like a false checklist - sometimes a checklist asking for your documents is automatically generated after submitting the DS-261.

I'm not sure if the process for India is different, but as far as I know you must send the original or certified copies of the documents you listed with the IV packet - this is a requirement.

I would call NVC to see if indeed the checklist as false and also to verify what I'm telling you.

Check out Saylin's NVC wiki here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Good luck.
