Submitted my 129-f, the journey has begun

I mailed my package with the G-1145 form on top to the Dallas lockbox using USPS regular mail on 14 August, 2014. No response yet but I will wait another week before being concerned. I noticed that others get their electronic response in a few days but not me. They also have not cashed my check. I have never been the most patient person, so I have a feeling this is not going to be easy for me! The first think I do each morning is check email and phone messages.

I also wanted to thank the people who put this site together. It has been a great help to me in preparing my documentation. It also nice to have a forum to see how others are doing. I read that some have experienced tremendous frustration and I hope I will not join their ranks.

08/14/14 Mailed I-129F

08/25/14 Email notification of NOA1 received; check cashed.

08/29/14 Received hard-copy NOA1 with notice date of August 22

10/15/14 Checked my case status on-line and was told that my approval was mailed out on Oct 15!

11/03/14 NVC received my case from USCIS (unsure of this date)

11/07/14 NVC assigned a case #, an invoice # and Beneficiary ID (unsure of exact date)

11/10/14 Package was sent to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico consulate (this date is known)

11/25/14 Received Package 3 (a letter) from Consulate dated Nov 19, 2014.

01/29/15 Interview in Ciudad Juarez - approved!!!

02/26/15 Entry into the US in San Ysidro by land

03/16/15 Marriage in San Diego

03/27/15 Filed applications for Adjustment of Status with Chicago lockbox

04/06/15 Received electronic notification that case was received

04/17/15 Received notification of biometrics apptmnt on May 1, 2015.

05/01/15 Biometrics taken

06/20/15 Received Authorization to Work / Advance Parole card

06/28/15 Status updated "Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview"

09/22/15 Interview in Chula Vista, CA and received verbal approval.

06/27/17 I-751 package sent

07/05/17 NOA-1 received

08/25/18 Received Courtesy copy of 18 month extension letter

10/16/18 Notified that green card is being produced.

It may take 30 days for uscis to send out the notification. So yes, you need to start planting more of those patience seeds now-ish. :D

Congrats on your submittal. Best of luck on your journey. Also, if you could fix your Timeline, that'd be great. Specifically the part about TSC. If you are in California, it will be routed to CSC.

PS. When I first submitted my petition, I didn't hear anything for 1 week also. Exactly 1 week as a matter of fact.

Thanks for the welcoming replies. I fixed the consulate location to be Juarez Mexico - I guess it defaulted to some other place when I left it blank. Also, I sent the paperwork initially to Texas, as is required, and expect that it will be transferred to California. But I will have to wait and see.

Hi Tom. Just for clarity, you mailed your I-129f to the Dallas TX lockbox, and this is different from the Texas Service center.

As mentioned by Marco, your petition will then be assigned [NOT transferred] to CSC because CA is one of those states processed by CSC.

I know it can be confusing, especially since you're just starting the process. But there are folks who check the Igor's list and timelines here for reference. :)

Thanks again for the nice replies. Especially thanks to "sweet cakes" for the clarification about the lockbox vs processing center. I did not understand the difference and will fix this right now. And thanks for the info on Igor's list. interesting to see how things move along.
