I will suggest you just stick with the 2 consulate to do the process of transferring, to avoid some more confusion and delays, just keep on looking on your ceac status..if it's change to transfer in progress it means guangzhou already sent the files.juat forget nvc for this moment..goodluck ?

I jus checked the ceac website and now it is saying transfer in progress.. It was just ready this morning and only received email from manila today too, manila replied to me after a week and now it is being transferred... Wow it is quick! I am surprised... And still confused lol well we'll keep

Monitoring..

So you will used the old case number, coz it will stay the same I think, just wait for about 6 weeks before the transfer complete, goodluck and it's a good sign, atleast your file is moving now?

Just email manila every after 3 weeks, for the update, that's what I did, so they will always look on your case.when ceac change to ready then you can pay the visa and booked the appointment for interview, hope for the smooth transfer of your files? goodluck

Now this is confusing, fiance jst called nvc to inquire why he did not receive any written notice from them that our case was forwarded to the consulate in guangzhou coz it is at READY status when we tracked it. They said today that our case did not actually leave nvc yet and that they are actually having it ready to be sent to Manila with a new case number... After all the email we sent to both manila and china, now they have to tell us this? If my fiance didnt call then we wont know abt it.... Interesting but really confusing!

that's even better news, really,

as

getting a casefile rehomed whilst it's actually still at NVC

is

easier to do, always.

smells like the movement, the request, came from Manila IV , not any actual action done by the USCitizen at NVC.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

The old guz # says it is still "transfer in progress" status... But the new

Mnl case # says "ready" now....i guess mnl will now prevail?

yup. getting a new consular casefile # is some herculean task, always. since it's a k-1 visa, you probably want to find and study Hank_ 's handy dandy, neeto-keen (yet spiffy) Guide to Superfast K-1 Visa chasing for Manila IV. Can find it in the PI subforum, make it your new bible.

[no more hints from me, as Hank_ 's Bible Prevails )
