HEllo VJ I'm kinda new to this . I have a few concerns about my case . So I applied for n400 back in April 2 2014 I finish my initial interview on july 8 I pass the English and writing and civic test and a decision cannot be made I got a form that had the marks for that .

Here's the story back in 2007 I got involved in a crime for which I shouldn't had got involved in. It was for "insurance fraud a wobbler and considered as felony"

I got 5 years of unsupervised probation and no jail time . I finish my unsupervised probation back in 2012 I also go my case expunge and dismiss and set aside and NG plea granted under penal 1203.4 and 17 (b). I took all the paper work such as COD and COE to my interview .

My interview went well although the IO said a decision can not be made and that they will review my n400 application carefully.

On july 14 I went to my congress office to get some help with my n400 to expedite The wait. They were kinda helpful . On july 29 I got a Case update thing you are in line for an interview receive a letter for the time and place for your interview. Which I don't get. is this a normal process any advice? with my n400 get denied or Approve?

I came to the United States back in 1986 as an IR2 category it's been over 28 years since I've been a LPR.

I lost my mother at age 6 So I'm not an automatic citizen. That's why I'm applying for citizenship on my own .

It is unusual to get a second interview, it sounds like they want to question you about the case.

I'd bring a second copy of all your paperwork.

being guilty of a felony might make uscis try to terminate your PR and put you in removal proceeding. So, if there is a second interview don't go without an attorney

Penguin_ie: they have 2 original copies Of COD and COE. Why do you think I should bring another COD

Because paperwork is known to get lost.

Pinoyme...don't listen to laostaos...as long as you're not doing anything wrong and cleared your past...and you've been given a go signal by 2 lawyers...just hope for the best man.

Just had my interview...the IO was pretty harsh on me...i got hella nervous...my mind went crazy...coz i was all psyched up with the test...i totally forgot about the infos i stated on my application....like the dates and stuff.

She checked 2 boxes from my n652... i passed the test...and wait in the mail for the decision. She said I should get it within 2-3weeks. She was asking about my marriage certificate from my current wife...i told her they didnt ask me to bring it and it only said on the application form that they only need documents from previous ones like a divorce paper.

Hoping for the best

To friscoflip . Just got home not to long ago from a lawyers office . We recap all the crimes a d all documents. She inform me to give her a week to investigate everything. Other then that she also ask about how I became LPR . My mother and grandma were us citizen. Most likely I'm already a citizen by birth . She is also investigating that . I will have answers by next week. Crossing fingers that I can withdraw my n400 . If not I have my lawyer to help me thru this process.

Just to give an update from lawyers office this morning .my case does not involve AF here are the facts i was not sentence to jail or prison for 1 year and the lost was not over 10k. If I fell on that category it could of been an AF. Per my lawyer that has been practicing immigration for over 27 years now. My statutory 5 years ended in 2012 I count good moral character from 2007 the day I was sentenced at the court house. And im not inadmissible because the crime Did not happen during my admission . Just AN remind I came to the US in 1986 so I should be good . Just waiting for another week for my re interview WITH NY LAWYER.
