Hey guys,

I recently married my now husband, who was on a, F1 visa. He hasn't been in school the last two quarters as he is waiting for his final classes to graduate. We recently realized that we now fall into 183 days out of status.

We are a gay couple in New York, now filing for AOS and EAD and we are worried that this may effect his AOS. What issues might we run into? We most likely are going to try and get a lawyer if possible... Thougnts would be hugely appreciated!

Hello. I was out of school for 2 years when I got married. I filed adjustment of status with just help from this site. Never had a problem. Had my interview yesterday and adjustment of status approved on the spot without as much as a question about my F-1 visa or status.

Good luck.

P.S. Also in New York.
