If you come over with a conditional green card which is only valid for (2 years) than you have to Adjustment of Status (Green Card), after you pass the interview and get permanent green card ( 10 years). my question is can you file N400 a year after you got permanent green card or it have to be 3 years? the reason I ask this question because on uscis (Have been a permanent resident (green card holder) for at least 3 years) I dont know the 2 years green count forward to 10 years permanent card. please give us some advice and thank you for your times.

hi

no, there is no adjustment of status. there is removal of conditions and most of the time there is no interview

you mail evidence of a bona fide marriage with the i751 form and payment

if all goes well, they mail you the 10 year GC, if the think that it isn't in good faith, they send you an interview

yes the 2 years from the beginning count. the card states, resident since. you are a permanent resident, only with conditions that you have to remove before the card expires

Even though that you had 2 years green card which is called Conditional Permanent Resident Card, that goes toward the 3 years. Permanent residency starts the day you are approved for residency if you are approved inside the US or if you make an entry with an immigrant Visa. You don't have to wait 3 years after getting the 10 year green card, you just have to wait 3 years from the resident since date on your first green card. Oh you are eligible to apply for citizenship 90 days before the 3 year anniversary. Good luck.

All Conditional PR need 3 year for apply PASSPORT !!

Your 3 year start from when you first time enter in USA

In short conditional GC ( 2 year ) plus 1 year more = 3 year = Eligible for Passport

You are not eligible for passport, you are eligible to apply for CITIZENSHIP and once that is granted you can apply for a passport.

Also you need to be married for at least 3 years to the same person and a resident for 3 years (-90 days) before you file.
