Hi VJ,

Is it unusual not to receive an appointment letter from the embassy?

We got a message sent to our email notifying of the date of the interview, but I see on this site everyone talking about a letter for the interview, and we haven´t received one.

We got the date for the interview thats great but isn´t it important the appointment letter to present to the day of interview?

My interview is at the London embassy and I received a letter, though I also requested to be notified by email, which I received before the letter. I've read that some people going through the London embassy don't get the letter in time or at all and the email is acceptable as proof of the interview. They will also have the interviewee's name on their lists at the embassy.

That said, I'm not familiar with the procedures in your country and they might be slightly different. The letter could be on its way to you or you may not get a letter at all. I would respond to the email (if it allows replies) or email the embassy directly and ask if you can use a printout of the email as proof that you have an interview.

When I got the K1 information, the consulate said that they prefer to not use the mail, since it's not reliable. You can email the consulate & ask what to bring - they are good about replying if you only ask one question per email.

Hi VJ,

You are a IR1/CR1 that email from NVC is all you get. It should have came also with a PDF attached of your personalized checklist of things.

Yes you print the email and that's what you use for medical and interview.

I guess I don't understand what else you want to get. The interview date is your appointment letter.
