The email says my case was accepted and is being sent to the service center for processing. Does that mean its just been opened and received or does it mean they have actually reviewed it already and accepted it and will be sent to the foriegn consulate? I got the email late yesterday evening but when I log in it says its still in review.

It's been accepted. The check was for the correct amount. The file has been busted apart, placed into specific folders the way USCIS wants it, placed into a boxed, and scanned into the system (hence the notification). Now you wait until an adjucator can get to your file in the box is sits. The adjucation process usually takes only 15 minutes.....but there is about a 5 month backlog of cases in front of yours.

Yes, 5 month wait for 15 minutes of adjucation.....think about the number of cases!!!

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Its just your acceptance notice. You will receive the official I-797 Form in the mail (the NOA1). I received the same email yesterday:

I sent my I-129F last Thursday and I have not received any text/email that it has been received. I tracked the priority mail and status says "delivered" on Monday (Texas). When should I expect the email notification/ text notification?

If it was delivered on Monday, then you should expect sometime today or tomorrow.

My petition was delivered last Friday, and I received my text/email yesterday.

The email/text you receive was from the Service Center who will be processing it or from Texas? Will you get two notifications? one from texas and one from the service center?

The text and email are from the USCIS. Dallas Lockbox in Texas only an address where your petition have to send. They are determined where yours will be processing.

I wonder if we can volunteer our free time to help adjudicating these pending cases. Heck, I'll take my 3-wk vacation to come help them work thru these cases.
