Good day,

I have a question that i would appreciate a solution to.

We filed an I 130 last year in JUly.

We received a letter for an interview to be carried out in Detroit MI.

I was deported back in 2007 December and my time ban has elapsed.

Can i apply for a visitor visa to attend the interview?

My wife is a citizen

i live in Canada as a student and my Study permit just ran out.

my home is in Tanzania.

Do we need to change the interview location as both of us were requested to attend the interview?

Any and all information will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Al.

They think you are in the US. So your wife needs to call USCIS and let them know. Its not a change in venue. You were deported no Visitor visa. Many service centers request the petitioner for interview. And since you were deported that makes sense why. She need to take all her evidence like you will on your interview day.
