what happen if you make a mistake on your tax form?

Hi guys,

I file a paper tax form and already mail it out, but what happen if i caculate or did something wrong on my forms will they fix it for me or send everything back to me. This was my first time and i didnt have any help so now im sitting here feeling worry that it will get sent back to me. Anyone care to tell me how it works thanks alot everyone..

Math errors on your return will be corrected by the IRS and could delay your refund. Here is a brief excerpt from IRS Publication 17 - Your Federal Income Tax:

Errors may delay your refund or result in notices being sent to you. If you discover an error, you can file an amended return or claim for refund.
