At the moment I'm in Tucson with my fiance on a visa waiver and have been since November 19th - I'll be returning to the UK on Jan 20th so well within my 90 days. A month ago we sent the K1 application as you can see by my timeline. This weekend we are both celebrating our birthdays and want to visit Mexico for the day as its only 45 mins away from where we are. Will I have any trouble gettin back into the states? I'm not sure of the boarder procedures and nothing would be worse than being told I cant come back to the states when I have a plane to catch and my things are there! I think it will be fine but I dont have anything to indicate that I have a job in the UK or a house etc and surley they wouldnt turn me back to mexico with nothing?? Just waned some opinions. Thanks :)

I travelled to Mexico whilst on a tourist visa in August.

The POE officer said that I should fill out another waiver and then proceeded to rip up the original in my passport.

So, I ended up staying in the U.S. for a further 90 days.

They made a mistake.

In answer to your question though I don't know.............I really think it depends on the mood of the POE officer on the day.
