Where to file Form I-129F for K-3 visa

Hi all,

Ok so I've just seen some conflicting views on where to file Form I-129F. On the USCIS Webiste it states to file:

USCIS
P.O. Box 660151
Dallas, TX 75266

For USPS Express Mail and courier deliveries:
USCIS
Attn: I-129F
2501 South State Highway 121 Business
Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067

However I did read elsewhere that you must file form I-129F at the US embassy where the marriage took place! So we got married in London, England.

Hence my confusion on where to file.

Hey,

I'm actually currently living in the UK and my wife (USC) is living at home in the USA.

Where did get married here in London however. Any ideas?

I actually think you should consider filing for the CR-1/IR-1 instead. The K3 visa is pretty obsolete. Check out the guides on the spousal visa. http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1 You can do a search on K-3's, but you'll probably find that most people in your situation file for the CR1/IR1 instead, in which case, you won't file a I-129F at all.

They already filed for an I-130 I presume? If so, the I-129F needs to be filed in the Country where the marriage took place

I actually don't think so given the other post the OP made earlier today. OP, I strongly encourage you to think about dropping the K3 idea. Still, if you wish to do the K3, the guides actually say to send it to the USCIS Dallas lockbox. I personally trust the guides, but since I went the K-1 route, I cannot speak from firsthand experience. There may be a few other K-3's out there who can weigh in.

You can't file I-129fs at consulates/embassies abroad. Follow the instructions from USCIS: http://www.uscis.gov/i-129f

Send the I-129F to the addresses listed in your first post, we used the Dallas lockbox. That is from the official USCIS website.

Where is this 'other place' that you read something differently, as it may not be official information.
