I got another letter today to say that my biometrics appointment has been changed from January 20th to January 23rd. I think it might have been due to the snow as I'm in Massachusetts. Oh well, I hope it doesn't slow it down too much!

11/08/2012 - Became a couple online smile.png

08/21/2013 - I flew over from England to Boston to meet him smile.pngwub.png

08/29/2013 - I was due to go back home but decided to stay a little longer

09/20/2013 - We decided to get married smile.pngheart.gif

10/22/2013 - We got married!!!

12/13/2013 - Day 0 - Sent off I-130 and I-485 and I-765 to Chicago

12/16/2013 - Day 3 - AOS Packet arrived in Chicago according to USPS

12/20/2013 - Day 7 - Received e-notification to say case has been accepted and processing at the USCIS National Benefits Center.

12/24/2013 - Day 11 - Received official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) in the mail.

12/31/2013 - Day 18 - Received letter for biometrics appointment on January 23rd.

01/13/2014 - Day 31 - Received RFE for form I-864

01/23/2014 - Day 41 - Biometrics done!

03/04/2014 - Day 81 - RFE response sent!

03/06/2014 - Day 83 - RFE response arrived there!

03/20/2014 - Day 97 - EAD card in production!

03/26/2014 - Day 103 - EAD card mailed out!

03/26/2014 - Day 103 - EAD card in USPS possession and given tracking number

03/26/2014 - Day 103 - Green card interview being scheduled! :D

03/30/2014 - Day 107 - USCIS mailed out our interview notice, scheduled for May 6th!

03/31/2014 - Day 108 - Received I-765 EAD work permit in the mail!

04/01/2014 - Day 109 - Received appointment for GC

05/06/2014 - Day 145 - GC interview approved!!!

December 27th, 2013 - Sent AOS packet, I-130 with I-485 concurrent filing. Fingers crossed!

Last night (January 6th), got NOA1 via e-mail. Looks like they've caught up from the holidays in Chicago! dancin5hr.gif

Got biometric letter yesterday, did a walk in couple of hours later in Brooklyn

04-03-2013 Met for the first time.

11-28-2013 Proposed to her on my knees.

12-13-2013 Married in Brooklyn, NY.

12-16-2013 (Day 000) Application sent to Chicago.

12-22-2013 (Day 007) Delivered to PO Box in Chicago.

01-04-2014 (Day 020) Hard Copies NOA received for I-130, I-485 and I-765.

01-09-2014 (Day 025) Biometric Letter for Jan 27, successful walk in on Jan 9.

01-15-2014 (Day 031) I-485 changed to Testing and Interview.

02-15-2014 (Day 062) Interview Letter for March 19.

02-28-2014 (Day 075) EAD went to production.

03-19-2014 (Day 094) Interview at Plaza-Approved on the spot.

Package (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-864-EZ etc) was sent via FedEx on December 28th, received on December 31st, NOA's for I-130 & I-765 were sent on January 6th, no NOA for the I-485 yet, I guessed the receipt number (they were sequential so it was easy) to look it up online and it is sitting in Acceptance, biometrics appointment was sent on January 9th, received the 13th and for January 27th at the Houston CIS. The Houston CIS is just down the road from us so I will likely try a walk in sometime this week to try to expedite the EAD process as my current E-3 visa expires on February 14th so I'd like to minimize or eliminate all together having to go on leave without pay.

I decided to join this forum at last, it has been a week a friend of mine introduced me to this site, so far so good i loved the stories i have read and also liked how people support each other with sweet and kind words. sent my package.................

Yes perfectly normal :) The I-130 will stay at Initial Review until you've done your interview. I-765 will stay in Initial Review until your EAD is approved. Good luck! Edited by jerni

Had my biometrics this morning as per the actual appointment letter time as I couldn't make it there earlier for a walk in so now it is back to a waiting game. I've seen others that are AOS from a work visa that get their EAD pretty quickly after their biometrics so I'm hoping that happens to me, otherwise hello unpaid leave after Feb 14th until the EAD arrives (my own fault for procrastinating).

Just got the request for more information for my I765 expedite request, am waiting for HR to email me a letter explaining that my employment will be put on hold if I fall out of status (current E3 expires 2/14) and will get that faxed in asap.
