Sorry the Lufthansa prices are alil hard to see. One way Frankfurt to New York: 2673.56 Euros

Round trip Frankfurt - New York - Frankfurt: 456.13 Euros

Wish I could read the tickets...but I can't...too small for my old eyes.

This is quite common that roundtrip ticket is cheaper than one way. I fly pretty often and see it all the time. The one I'm looking at right now is $870 Rountrip (for myself) and $1100 One way (for fiancee). So your initial statement wasn't accurate.

Also "Ctrl +" can zoom in your browser.
