CFO - CEBU Experience

Hi All..

We decided that I will take my CFO seminar by Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013..Went there a day before just to make sure i have all the requirements that they needed. you see i dont have original copy from my NSO Birth Cert and CENOMAR. the guard told me that the first one she is going to check is the two valid ID's and its up to the verifier if she will ask for the originals..also check the logbook, just to make sure i have an idea what time to get there..seen some going there around 2am, 3am until 7am.. so i was a little bit surprise when i get there the next day around 3am, and no one is around until around 4am already.just be careful though if your alone if your doing it cebu, it was a nerve wracking experience for me, i was sweating and even thinking my escape plan (where to run)just in case someone will hold-up me..LOL!..my advice is bring someone you know, let them stay with you until someone is there or until the sun comes up..

they will only accomodate 12 slots for US bound..i was there first, so i got to be called first by the guard around 7am. as what she said, she check my two valid ID's with the photocopy of it..she did ask me about my NSO Birth Cert but i told her that its in the yellow pakect already (it was ok), your passport - bio page(make 2 copies for it) and if you have a US visa already like mine have it photocopied too (2 copies).she will then gave you a number..then wait to be called by the lady at the counter..

the lady in the counter will check the ones that the lady guard just ask you with your passport.she will ask you about your fiance's last name and date of birth.you will then get your picture taken there..after that she will ask you the P400.00 fee..she will gave you a form to fill up..actually, two forms will be filled up by those who got their visas already but i already filled up the 2nd form when your going to get your cfo sticker that i got online (thanks Hank!)she will advice you to bring that form back to her, if everything is ok you will be advice to come back by 1pm..i finish mine around 830am so i went back to the hotel and get some sleep..lol!

at around 130pm, the film showing starts..i manage to meet new friends there so i guess it doesnt matter what country your going, you will be at the same room with them..its all about human trafficking and it takes about 25mins..after that, a guy announces that US and Canada bound will be at Room 03..we were only like 9 people in the room, 8 US and 1 Canada bound (really surprise why were not that many)..the lady in the counter is the one who were doing the seminar..it was really informative!its all about your rights and how to determine if you are abuse..it also talks about your upcoming married life and the suppose problems that you will encounter there..it talks about the guidelines and procedure on your international flights..the whole session tooks us about 2 hours..

after that the One-on-One interview, i was the first one to be called..lol! (not prepared at all)..basically, she will be asking questions how well you know your fiance..she will also ask about evidences like on my side, pictures together.i was also ask how i could prove to her that he is single and never been married, thank God i was quick to remember that it was in his ITR (so girls please have some time to read or check the documents from your fiance's side(lol!)).

After that she said, everything is OK and pass my stapled forms and passport to Ms. Hilda at the counter..as i said earlier during this time, you will be ask again to fill up another form for the sticker issuance but i already filled up one that i get online.after a while she called me back and got the CFO sticker!!! ... finish it by 430pm...

DONE it ALL!such a relief!next stop, get pack up!lol!

Gina is going to CEBU CFO next month. Last step before flying to USA. Just curious.... How can Gina prove to them that I have never been married before?? She should say she asked all my brothers and sisters and they all told her no, that I have never been married before??

hi Mike&Gina! it should be in written document and not by any info from your brothers or sisters. they need it as evidence and they will keep a photocopy. i was thankful i remember it on his tax return.

Hello, hello!! The US Embassy requested, took, and kept the copy of my Income Tax Return. I only made one copy, and gave it to them. Should Gina just tell them at CFO that the Embassy has it?? Good luck and God Bless to everyone.

Copy of your tax return showing you file single. (make sure to black out SSN)

Hank is right, scan it and email it to Gina!they only want a photocopy of it...mine was also taken during the interview at USEM, i only gave her the 2011 tax return and explain to her that the 2012 was with the USEM, so it was still ok to her..
