Hi is there any one that has been approved for a K1/K2 visa in Bogota, Colombia? It looks like the US Embassy in Bogota has updated their website and no longer provide the required DS forms on their site. Do they now send them package 3/4 to the beneficiary through DHL (like passport) or would I the petitioner also receive an email with the forms or package3/4 ?

Also the beneficiary is located in Barranquilla which means she would have to fly to Bogota for the medical and interview, once approved how far in advance can she start with the medical requirements with the panel physician in Bogota.

The Bogota Embassy site says it will send the beneficiary instructions once they receive the case. http://bogota.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas/fiance-visas.html

As of Oct 7th, the DS-160 has replaced all the other DS forms for a K-1 applicant. http://travel.state.gov/visa/forms/forms_4401.html

There's no package of forms. Once forwarded to the embassy in BOG, they'll call your fiancée by phone to confirm and send a PDF by email with all of the requirements. You can start on the medical requirements as soon as you want, the doctor does not care about the application status. Most people consolidate their trip to Bogotá and do the medical appointment just before the interview. Make sure there is enough time before, because the medical exam make have some hiccups. Make sure she takes lots of money, or has access to it, as the vaccines are expensive (the exam has a mandated maximum price, they screw you on vaccines instead).
