You should make an Infopass appointment at your local office and / or contact the DHS Ombudsman for assistance.

You're not the first nor the last that this has happened to. When my husband came to this country, one of his friends had come before him. His friend came in 2008, my husband in 2009. Anyways, his friend has been married and waiting a response since he applied for aos in 2008, and still has yet to hear anything reguarding his status. He too has done infopass after infopass, and no information. He has been told various responses; "you're going through facial and name recognition, file is with fbi, etc. Don't get discouraged, just sometimes it takes longer than others. Although, my friend's attorney said his options at this time are to either wait it out, or sue immigration for a response. If you decide to sue, it can get expensive and ugly. Also, the attorney also told our friend, that they think his case is probably with ICE a fraud investigating department. Contact your attorney and see what advice you can get. Good luck!
