I have been looking all over for answers to my questions about how to get an earlier interview date. My interview is scheduled for December 18th (3 months away!?) and I just wanted to clarify that I am doing this right. Here is what I have done:

Went to the website usvisa-info.com and put in the information and logged into my account. The homepage shows up that says I have my appointment scheduled for Dec.18th.

Scroll to the bottom and it says:

  • Reschedule Appointment
  • Cancel Appointment
  • Submit Documents to Consular Section
  • Register for Courier Service
  • View Visa Information
  • View Appointment Confirmation Page

I click on "Reschedule appointment" and then all it says is "There are currently no appointments available for your trip purpose.

Would you like to change your information and reschedule your appointment."

I can choose yes or no. I am really confused about this because I thought that it was supposed to show up as a calendar or show an available date. Can you only see the dates if you first cancel the appointment you have scheduled (risk losing it) to see the calendar? Please help! It would be so awesome to get an interview that is earlier than December! I have been waiting to get an interview date for 9 months now, and to find out its 3 months away is frustrating. This seems to be pretty common from what I have read. Thanks for reading and please help me out if you can!

Hey there Statesbound,

The only way it will show a calendar is if there are available dates, otherwise it will not show a calendar as there are no dates available. You are doing this the right way. You do not have to cancel as it says right on the page "Would you like to change your info and reschedule your appt." I would just keep checking daily if you want an earlier date.
