Very Excited just got our interview date last eve and it is October 8th @ 7:30 amdancin5hr.gif , I am US Citizen and my husband has interview in Naples, we are wondering after gathering all evidence, what next? Do he have to set up a medical for himself or will it be on the same date of the interview? Is there another fee that we are required to pay like an interview fee? I know we have the 165 for green card fee, just wondering what's next??? Thank you in for your response.smile.png

Now he can just get his interview letter and schedule his medical anytime before medical he wants. he should probably call medical and see how long after medical to get results most places its 4 days to a week.

All your fees you paid at NVC. The $165 fee is paid anytime after you receive the Visa and you pay online. He will get the instructions to pay when he picks up his Visa. And the fee can be paid before or after he arrives.

So next is start gathering evidence getting ready for interview and medical. And packing.

Congratulations.

Naples usually schedules the medical the day before the interview, at the Istituto Varelli. If you got an interview appointment you should have got the instructions from the Consulate too. Check those + http://italy.usembassy.gov/visa/iv.html + http://italy.usembassy.gov/visa/iv/application.html, everything is explained there. Good luck!

the medical is scheduled automatically the day before. make sure you are there at 7.30 even for the interview go early because they go by first come first served basis not by appointment. also make sure that you dont forget anything on that day, and also to check if you have to pay any fees check your interview letter on the last page you should have written fee payment i think, if you have a dollar sign next to it you're good. hope this helps and good luck. if you have any more questions feel free to ask i was just there last month.

It was a bit expensive but I was with my parents. Make sure you plan your trip for at least 4 days ( day 1 you get there, day 2 medical and they take your fingerprints at the embassy, day 3 interview day and day 4 you get your passport back) one last thing the medical is a bit pricey mine was 220 had to take a shot, so make sure you have the cash with you so you won't waste time going to an ATM and have passport photos with you too you'll need those.

You do the medical and fingerprints the day before your interview. You do not schedule the medical. A tip: if your husband is missing any vaccinations, it is cheaper to see his own doctor and get up to date on his vaccinations BEFORE going the medical for the interview (it will save you some cash and pain of too many shots in on day! :D )
