Because Zimmerman was acquitted, state law requires Florida to pay all his legal costs, minus the biggest one: the fee that goes to his lawyers.

939.06 Acquitted defendant not liable for costs.—
(1) A defendant in a criminal prosecution who is acquitted or discharged is not liable for any costs or fees of the court or any ministerial office, or for any charge of subsistence while detained in custody. If the defendant has paid any taxable costs, or fees required under s. 27.52(1)(b), in the case, the clerk or judge shall give him or her a certificate of the payment of such costs, with the items thereof, which, when audited and approved according to law, shall be refunded to the defendant.
(2) To receive a refund under this section, a defendant must submit a request for the refund to the Justice Administrative Commission on a form and in a manner prescribed by the commission. The defendant must attach to the form an order from the court demonstrating the defendant’s right to the refund and the amount of the refund.”

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."

My argument is if as per the state law if he can recover the money to defend himself than that is not milking.

I am sure state is not just going to give away whatever he claims.

Why is it milking coz of the state he had to spend money to defend and in end state was wrong.

I am sure ppl who prefer not to work and just rely on state for everything is not milking in your terms.

And you can bet you last dollar that if had been some poor disenfranchised minority that got roughly accused and had his life ripped part these same bleeding hearts would be calling for us o o what is right and compensate him.

Obama, the race biters and the Injustice department tried o lynch him. Epic fail

I saw it all the time with my last job . Someone goes to Walmart with someone else and buys 300 bucks worth of diapers, then sells them for 50 cents on dollar

Also ons of small mom and pop beer stores abusing the hell out of the system

I was around it every day for ine years. I know what I saw and was told almost daily.

I wish people cared about helping the truly needy as much as they cared about making sure George Zimmerman is okay.

I wish people cared about helping themselves as much as they do about screaming about gz
