A friend of mine with a CR-1 petition has their file at NBC since. They filed for the petition last March 27. When do you think this would get the approval? Any estimated processing time on this? any information will be a great help.

7/26/2013 RFE hard copy received
7/29/2013 RFE mailed back
8/02/2013 CFO passed!
8/07/2013 NOA 2!!!
8/10/2013 NOA2 hardcopy received
8/19/2013 Shipped to NVC
8/23/2013 MNL case number provided over the phone
8/23/2013 NVC shipped packet to Embassy

If you go to the subforum related to the processing time, you'll have an idea. Basically, in a nutshell, no one knows. the 'normal' time has been 5 to 7 months, but there has been major delays that even the ones who filed in January are still waiting as of now. This has to do with USCIS being understaffed, and also a new office should be opened up in september, so that should help a bit.

But, as of now, a lot of us are starting to accept that it might be 2014 before we get approval.

It is uncertain how soon March filers will be processed. This depends on the current location of the petition, and how soon the National Benefits Center starts processing them again. We should find out more in September, when we all hope they will resume normal processing.

12/19/2014 - NOA2

01/15/2014 - NVC Received (TSC held it for 3 weeks...)

02/19/2014 - Case no. and IIN assigned; requested embassy change

02/27/2014 - DS-261 available and submitted
