So we finally got approved on 08/02. No hardcopy yet. Now I heard that TSC takes a very long time to send the petition to the NVC.

We were planning on gathering the required documents about now, such as affidavit of support and tax returns, pay stubs, employment letter, etc.. that my fiancé has to send me for my pack 3. Now I'm worried if we do that now the documents will be not up to date enough due to a very long waiting time at Texas.

Who has experienced the same things or knows how recent those papers have to be?

I would estimate another 2 to 3 months from now to interview date. Mailing takes a minimum of 2 weeks for us and we don't wanna get delayed cause we have to wait for the mail to arrive.

So should we wait or get to work? Any advice is appreciated.

I was transferred to TSC as well and we got approved on june 20. Our Petition was send to the NVC on July 9th, got our Case Nr on July 17.

It was then send to the embassy in Frankfurt on the 19th but we did not get pack3 until August 1st.

So from approval to Pack 3 it took them 1 1/2 months. After we got approved my fiance send everything to me but dated everything way later (he send it in june but dated everything for July)

So now that we send pack our Pack 3 on august 1st - everything is dated in july. I think thats okay - they just dont want you to date everything months in advance but if he sends you everything now

and he dates it for the end of august you will be fine - I think it really does not matter because after NOA2 you are supposed to gather all these things, sign and date them.

Great :) thanks for the info. Let me know how soon you got your interview appointment. I hope frankfurt won't take too long for that! I have everything ready on my side, just need the papers from my fiancé. And I definitely plan on sending everything the very same day I get pack 3! :)

I agree with Izzi. Our timeline is almost the same and we got our pack 3 on friday so also 1 1/2 months later but maybe TSC is faster now with the transfer to NVC, who knoooows. :)

Gather all papers for your pack 3 and just put a date in a month on it. Priority mail from NYC to Cologne took from friday-wednesday so it's not long at all!!

Good luck for your journey!!dancin5hr.gif

Haha I've been trying to convince my future husband of the advantages that priority mail has since the RFE. No luck lol he sees it as a waste of money. Sheeeesh

But I'll push him this time! :)

I wish you guys good luck as well!

hey,

same thing here.....I suggested my fiance to mail the I134 stuff with UPS or FedEx, it costs $44 and is guaranteed in 2 days. He refused to do so too and I was actually kind of upset with him... but he (we) got superlucky. He used USPS (the regular US postal service), paid only $ 7 and the package was here in only 4 days!!! I was actually on skype complaining to him about mailing it with USPS when the doorbell rang and the mailman handed me the package!!! Couldn´t believe it. So you guys may get lucky as well biggrin.png

Wow that's great you got it that fast. We sent our RFE response on a Tuesday and they didn't get it till Monday. And that within the country!

That sure had me grinding my teeth. And I was just as upset with him. But now that we're approved I can smile about it. But I'm not gonna take a chance with the pack 3 papers!
