How long is it usually from the NOA1 to being "touched"? It has been a month already. Will it only get "touched" right before it may be processed?

Do not get hung up on "touches" or any lack there of. If a adjudicator spills coffee of your file you may get a "touch". What does it really mean?

...and some have received NO2 approvals without any touches.

Don't worry about touches.. I submited my I-130 back in September.. I didn't have any touches, and then this past Monday, the approval came through.

I was getting worried, but honestly don't be. I think the average time for approval is about 70-80 days, if you go past 100 days or so, is when the worrying should start..

01/26/07 - DS230 finally received 11 days after it was generated.. can anyone say snail mail..

05/22/07 - Medical Interview Breach Candy Mumbai

05/24/07 - Interview date at Mumbai consulate - APPROVED!

06/02/07 - Mumbai - Paris - Atlanta - Charlotte. Departs June 1st 4.45am EST Arrives June 2nd 4.12pm EST

07/10/07 - Received Conditional Greencard. Still waiting on the SSN

I was one of those.

Got a touch the day my cheque was cashed, and a touch the day after NOA2 when my petition was presumably sent to NVC.

On the other hand, some people get dozens. They really aren't that important.

9/19 NOA1 CSC Recieved

9/25 Notice date Check cashed 9/25

9/28 I Recieved NOA1(I-797C) in the mail

12/5 NOA2 12/6 but Approved on 12/5 touch

12/9 Received NOA2(I-797) by snail mail

12/15 NVC has received it..Case # issued...

12/19 NVC shipped to Romania

12/22 Romanian Embassy has received an email from NVC that my Petition is on it's way...

12/29 Packet 3 sent to Veronica
