10 year green card tracking number: how to find out?

Hi everyone,

Excited to say that I got a text and email last night notifying me that our ROC has been approved, and that my new card is now in production .

I realize that they need to make the card first and then mail it, but am I right in remembering that some people were given a tracking number once their cards had been mailed?

If so, I was wondering how I can find out what my tracking number is once the card is mailed. I have signed up for text and email updates, so should I expect another text/email update with the tracking number when the card ships? Or do I have to keep checking the website and hope for an update from there? Surprisingly, the website was updated for me the same day that I got my text and email approval notification, so here's to hoping, but from what other people have said, website updates can be very hit and miss, so I'm not holding my breath.

So, Christi, did you attach the G-1145 form to your ROC packet?

Actually, I didn't. But you can sign up for updates through the USCIS website after you've received your case number. Which is what I did. You are given the option of email updates, text updates, or both, so I selected both. Now I filed just before the forms changed, so I had to use the old forms, but the new one has a field where you can put in your email address (optionally), so I wonder if people filling out the new forms and providing an email address will now sign up for email updates automatically this way.

First, I received an email from USCIS about Card Production then another email about my tracking number. The last email is informing me that my card was delivered. I was out of town when they delivered my new card, I'm glad I have the tracking number I was able to track where my card was and told my friend who works at the post office to keep the mail for me. It was delivered on the very same day I received the last email and text from USCIS informing me that my card was delivered. Hope this helps. Just wait for another email from USCIS.

uscis has an online status portal - so if you sign in to it,

you can see the tracking #.

Tracking # is issued after the 'card production ordered' status.

you will get about 2-3 updates from uscis telling you when the G.card was mail & the tracking # will be there just putr your Msc #

California 7 - congratulations on your approval! If married to a US citizen, you will be eligible to apply for citizenship starting at 90 days before your 3 year residence anniversary (the date when you first entered the country as an immigrant) and any time thereafter. You will need to prove that you are still married to your US citizen spouse and that you have lived in the US for at least 6 months for each one of the previous 3 years.

Yes I'm still married US citizen spouse .the date when I first entered the country as an immigrant was on 0ctober 2010.So will be eligible to apply for citizenship now.Thanks
