Hello Everyone, I am hoping someone can help me or direct me on where to go to.

I filled for the I-130 on May 17, 2013. My husband and I got married in December of last year, but we have been a couple since 2005. He is in Mexico and I live in the US. Recently I was there in Mexico because he was very sick and in the hospital. After I came back, I cannot stop thinking about our current situation and if God forbid something worse happened and I would not be there with him. Or worse, we have never really lived together for a long time, like other couples. I am considering moving with him in Mexico for 4-6 months and coming back here after that time. My question is, would this choice affect the application process? Would I have to tell USCIS to postpone/cancel until I return? Or can the petition continue even though I will not be here? I know I have to submit an affidavit of support, but I am not sure if I can do this even if I do not have a long time working at the job after I come back. I really need someone to help me with this or direct me in the right direction. I will greatly appreciate all the help that anyone gives me.

thank you.
