Assembling that Packet. HELP!

Hey guys I really wanted to know how much you sent as evidence....most know my situation of previously filing for 1st husband. How much did you send..i mean I have over 600 in chat logs...400 in calls...tons of pics. How think should it be and what service did you use to send it. If any one has pictures of yours please show me. Thank you so much for all your help. I don't want to overwhelm those that receive the packet but I heard I should frontload because the interview will be at the Nigerian consulate.

also the uscis site says to put tabs at attachments.....so should I only put at attachment sheets but not tabs to divide the chat logs from phone logs from pics?

Front-load doesn't mean send everything you got. Quantity means nothing if there isn;t some quality in that.

it's better to have a chat log, a IM log where they just see the date and time messages went. Then from that decide on ho many a week, month you want to show.

Like you have facebook emails you will show the log of all your emails but only send in maybe 2 or 3 emails per month.

Phone records show that Lagos loves to see we talk. See you are showing the embassy you communicate. It doesn't have to be every minute of every day you speak. That's not reality.

Pics also send a few of each event. Label what they are looking at with who's in it. Please no staged pics. Lagos is very picky about that.

Tabs are not necessary. Every thing should be attached with paperclips only.

I had 24 separate pieces of evidence each had its own cover-page with a brief summary and had the big old paper claps. each month paperclip together.

I hope you have a Relationship timeline in there. that is vital for you to have and should be the first piece of evidence after the required documents and forms.

Keep a comminication flow from day one to current, selecting 1, 2 or 3 a week, depending how long you have been together so your package does not get too

thick. The longer you been together the bigger the package so the amount per week depends on length of relationship due to the fact you don't want to send

a truck load full.

My petition was about 4 inches thick with yahoo chat logs, skype and phone logs . Since the case was denied I have to start over again and this time we have 4 years of communication to submit. I still won't go over about 4 inches thick, I don't count pages but go by eye balling the thing with a selection of everything showing a consistent flow

not choppy or missing a couple months here or there. I have not decided how many chats per week until I print the whole enchilada and then eye ball it.

I will use one (or two) giant clips on top for everything. Between each new category I will place a colored blank sheet of paper, no tabs, no clips.

All chats are together, all phone records are together from day one to current, I do not separate them by month. You can use tabs on the bottom if you want I think

blank clored sheets are better. There is an assembly link here somewhere

I will try to dig it up and post it.
Do not overdo it with separating and clips and stuff because they will reassemble everything the way they want to and can get pissy having to dismantle

your work of art if it includes a million clips and tabs.

First petition 7 pounds ( a premie ) and the second a bit more than 10 pounds and it contained a variety of assembly methods. Pouches folders, tab folders in sub folders.

Our first K1 was denied when Joseph couldn't tell the CO details of my classified work. He knew who I work for and the class of work and years on the job but she demanded full details of what I was doing if he wanted a visa. Our second petition went from submitting to visa in hand was 6 months with no bumps ( other than the did your father die because you are marrying a white woman question )

A letter describing your relationship from start to current. Like a tiny personal blog of your relationship condensed into a brief

to the point timeline filled with content of where you met, when you met, your visits, your compatibilities and hopes and dreams etc etc....

Not a book but a page or two

Briefly describe the previous relationship in one or two paragraphs in the same letter but keep it defined and the lines clearly drawn between both, don't jump back and forth between both relationships. You can also write 2 separate letters.... always keep it brief. You tend to overthink and overdo so keep it simple . They do not care to read of romance novel.

RELATIONSHIP TIMELINE

Minnie Mouse– Petitioner Mickey Mouse - Beneficiary

• May, 2008 – Meet (put in names here) on the telephone via an introduction by my close friend, Goofy,
• August, 2008 – Started e-mailing, chatting on Yahoo Messenger and talking on the telephone.
• November, 2008 – Relationship progressing to a serious level. Made trip #1 to Osaka, Japan. Met his family and friends.
• January, 2009 – Mickey proposed marriage over the phone. I accepted. We are officially engaged!
• February, 2009 – I file an I-129F fiancé petition for Mickey in the U.S. on a K1 Visa. I have kids from my first marriage and we thought it would be considerate to have them meet Mickey prior to marriage and be present at their mother’s wedding, therefore, petitioning for the K1 and not the K3 or CR-1.
• February, 2009 – Trip #2 to Osaka, Japan. Our engagement party!
• May 2009 – I-129F petition approved by the USCIS.
• July 2009 – Mickey’s interview at the U.S. Consulate in Osaka, Japan. Request made by CO for more photos and e-mails.
• August, 2009 – 2^nd interview at the U.S. Consulate in Osaka, Japan. Present many more e-mails phone records and photos documenting our relationship. Mickey’s visa application placed in Administrative Processing status.
• September, 2009 – Trip #3 to Osaka, Japan. Sweet reunion.
• November, 2009 – Request assistance from my Congresswoman – Carolyn McCarthy - to make inquiries on my behalf to the U.S. Consulate in Osaka, Japan regarding Mickey’s lengthy AP.
• December, 2009 – Case remains under Administrative Processing status.
• January, 2010 – I make a request of the U.S. Consulate in Osaka, Japan to meet with the investigator handling our case in hopes of expediting the lengthy AP period. Request granted.
• February 8, 2010 – Fraud investigators from the U.S. Consulate in Osaka, Japan pay a visit to Mickey’s parents house. His parents confirm that our relationship is genuine and that they support it.
• February 16, 2010 – Trip #4 to Osaka, Japan. Meet with fraud investigators at U.S. Consulate in Osaka, Japan. We are both interviewed separately and asked many questions pertaining to the details of our relationship. We believe all went well.
• March 2, 2010 – Mickey called to return to the U.S. Consulate in Osaka, Japan on March 23^rd (after almost 8 months of Administrative Processing).
• March 23, 2010 – Mickey’s visa application is denied. Reason for denial: Investigator did not believe I was committed to marrying Mickey within 90 days of his arrival in the States on the K1 visa. Why? Because at the Feb. 16^th interview with the investigator, I stated that I filed a fiancé petition instead of a marriage petition so that my kids could meet him first before we get married and be in attendance at our wedding. Investigator interpreted my words to mean that I needed to “understudy” my fiancé and that I wasn’t sure about marrying my fiancé.
• April, 2010 – Attempt to overturn denial while case still at the Consulate: Letter sent from my attorney – Marc Ellis – to the U.S. Consulate in Osaka, Japan along with affidavits from friends and family attesting to the fact that my intention was always to marry Mickey as soon as he arrived here on the K1. Attorney letter and affidavits never acknowledged by Consulate.
• April/May, 2010 – Plan our wedding.
• May 29, 2010 – Trip #5 to Osaka, Japan.
• June 1, 2010 - Get married!!!!!
• June, 2010 – Upon my return to the U.S., file an I-130 petition for my husband to come join me in the U.S. on a CR-1 visa.
