Hi, everyonesmile.png

My I-130 approved on June 28th 2013. I dont have NOA1 or NOA2 also receipt number.

but I find out that, because I email USCIS and they told me my case approved that date.

My petitioner filed I-130 in parson and paid at USCIS. that was really fast approved. (It took only 24 days).

I would like to have NOAs for get receipt number, so I could check my status on the website,

but they said, they not gonna sand NOAs because I already know approvedsad.png But my I-130 is approved now, so it is ok so far...

But, here is my question.

I had read so many peoples post for this process going to smooth,

and most people after I-130 approved, case send to NVC,

but USCIS sent my case to consulate. and they told me consulate will send me packet 3 for next step.

I got tracking number and they actually sent it to consulate, and my approval will arrive there on July 5th.

I couldnt find same situation as mine, and Im so confused right nowsad.png

Is there anyone had same situation??

ok. South Korea still offers Direct Consular Filing. Later, the interview should be there.

There are two additional document sets to prep -

the uscitizen preps the I-864 and

the foreign spouse preps the DS-230

usually within 45 days of the I-130 approval at Seoul USCIS office, the Immigrant Visa Office in Seoul will contact the petitioner and beneficiary about the next steps for document intake. It is at that point, that a consular casefile number is assigned. Forget about tracking anything , there is no NOA-1 or NOA-2. Your petitioner MOST LIKELY has some type of I-130 approval notice. That's all he needs.

I must assume your entire process is 'Direct Consular Filing' - so there will not be (again, my assumption) any document intake at the National Visa Center (NVC) in the USA.

If you are seeking 'next steps' then you or your spouse should chase down the Immigrant Visa Unit at US Embassy Seoul and ask about it or study their website on Immigrant Visa Processing.

Oh, I am sorry I think I made you misunderstand.

My petitioner went USCIS office in south Korea, and Im leaving in Japan, Okinawa.

So, Naha consulate in Okinawa will take care of my case.

I checked Naha consulate website, but there isnt say anything good process for my situation.

But thank you for your help Darnell, I worried because everyone seems through NVC.

I will call consulate tomorrow so I might get more informations from them.

Thank you again!

Hey,

Yes the same thing happened to me. I filed in New Delhi in person. Did not receive any NOA1/NOA2 as it does not go to the NVC, but directly to the embassy. You will probably get some notification soon. However the best thing is to email/call the embassy where you will be giving the interview, and find out what your case status is.

at this stage, you need to learn where the approved I-130 is to go -

either a US Consulate or the National Visa Center.

I say contact Seoul and ask about casefile movement...

then report back when you have some answer.

Hi, Darnell.

I have update my situation today.

My petitioner get email from US consulate in Naha Japan, and they said I need final interview when Im ready.

The email has instruction, and it says I need get my police record, medical test, and my sponsor's form I-864. It dosent say anything about NVC. I think dosent need it for my case.

I also had strange story from my friend who also marriage with US citizen...

She made appointment at consulate to petition I-130 with all document( I dont exactly know what she brought..). and she got more documents for next step at consulate(I think this is what I got today). And she completed all documents, and final interview. She got visa on her passport 2 days after interview...

She started visa apply end of April, she dosent event sent anything to USCIS or states. But she got visa like 3 months later from she had first interview.

The Japan consulate website says, people who live in Japan, must sent petition I-130 to USCIS since August 15th 2011.

I have no idea how she dose it.

hey - that's great, stellar, superior news about the casefile movement !

I'm so happy for you !

Officially, there is no National Visa Center (NVC) involvement now - the rest will be handled in Japan, so that's great ! Yay !
