Most of us suggest you purchase which ever is cheaper regarding a one-way verses a round trip. As a K-1 you can use either, but the airline may give you grief about the one-way. If you do happen to use a RT, just cancel the return leg. We used a RT with the return 89 days from arrival just to be certain we got married within the 90 days. You might want to check around with the other airlines to see if their RT tickets are cheaper. There has been some issues with TACA but that was with an expired GC and the extension letter.

Good luck,

Dave

Just be sure to cancel the return leg of the round-trip flight if you're not going to use it. Airlines have been known to assign the seat to a standby passenger but NOT change the flight manifest, meaning that the beneficiary's name is still there. This has caused all kinds of problems when it comes time for Adjustment of Status.

When you cancel the return leg, get the name & location of the airline agent, and note these with the date & time of your call. Put this note in with the rest of your permanently kept immigration papers. In addition, print out anything that is sent to you regarding the cancellation.
