filed for petition over a year ago, but lost the EAC number

Hello, hope everyone is doing well...

I first started doing my petition around the end of 2010 and i had all my files and paper work done and mailed to the proper mailing address. I received the first letter confirmation which was to let me know they received the application. My fiancie is in Egypt and I went to visit her at that time, but the Egyptian revolution broke out and the government was toppled. So the visa application was not on our minds at the moment cause we had to take care of our families located in Egypt and there was no U.S. Embassy running because they all shut down during the chaos. Now about a month ago, I finally came back to the states and i am trying to relocate the EAC number to check on the status of the application or even try to see what i need to do next. I cant find the confirmation email or mail for the life of me. It was on my email but I can not find it anymore for some reason. I am not sure what center to call to request the status and get the EAC number or should i just start over? any ideas would help? and any phone number I could call to get any information would help...

try to email them SCOPSSCATA@uscis.dhs.gov. im not sure but i use that email when i have questions.

Here is the number to the uscis t 1-800-375-5283. when you call tell them you don't have your case number they will ask other information to locate your account. You filled a long time ago are you sure they haven't tried to contact you or go forward with your case? My K1 only took 7 months.
