2-year-old child drowns in above-ground swimming pool

I should mention that when I was a kid, there were diving boards at every pool. Now, I can't find a single pool with one. I used to love doing tricks off of diving boards, but I guess they are just too dangerous, so they were taken down.

That kind of stuff really makes me hate the culture in the U.S. -- if your kid does something stupid and gets hurt, just sue wherever it happened. That kind of logic is what is bringing this country down and is making my molars decay... or something Darnellish like that.

When I was living in Canada I read about this kid getting killed at the playground on some apparatus there. Forgot what it was. Basically the kids family was given a pre-determined number of dollars for it. There were no ambulance chasers involved. I also noticed there were no lawyer commercials on T.V. throughout the middle of the day and late at night on T.V. screaming "Hurt in an accident? Call me! I'll rape the insurance company for you" Taking 30-40% while they're at it.

Will never happen here though thanks to the trial lawyers and their allies in congress (Democrats.) You can thank them for your lack of fun in the sun during hot summers in the U.S. I'm somewhat surprised there are even private swimming pools in this country these days. The liability insurance must be crazy.

Some folks around here are always whining about how the republicans are beholden to corporations, but conveniently leave out how the Democrats are beholden to trial lawyers and unions.

So if you want to go diving, move to Canada. Bring a jacket. The winters suck.

Who says you can determine when your CABA beatdown is coming? WE will determine that. WE decide your fate.

However, I'm too busy swanning about in my yoga pants and Uggs and watching my stories while stuffing my face with Fritos to administer said beatdown.

Alas it was merely a request, I would never dream of dictating the terms of a beatdown to any CABA chick. It is fully up to you wimmins when us weak men will wear the tread of a sweaty pair of Uggs on our backs. My apologies to CABA women everywhere for the misunderstanding.

Now quick, look over there it's a bag of Cheetos!

I don't think it's LA because I can recall at least two pools with them that I've seen here in the last couple of weeks.

And my hometown in upstate New York is full of them.

You really bought a pair of those outrageously over priced testament to American consumer brainwashing ? What can you do to a pair of boots to make them have value of 300.00. ?

Leather is leather.

P.S. I bought the Mrs a pair of fit flops the other day. I don't get it or understand it but I enjoy the how much she appreciated it factor.
