Just a quick update for those considering this method.

Spoke to the cruise line yesterday and they are happy for me to take all my kitchen equipment (including my beloved chef knives), and they allow up 500lb per passenger.

They did however mention that a lot of the cabins we were looking at were nearly sold out so if any one else is planning on joining us on the immigration cruise, you may want to book soon.

Quick update

Just had reason to call the extortion line and thought i would ask about the arriving via cruise ship question.

The gentleman on the phone said that as long as you are arriving with a registered carrier you can arrive at any border control.

most airlines and cruises lines are absolutely fine.

Arriving in your own boat may be more of an issue
