Immigrant Fee

Hey Guys,

My wife got her visa and I am trying to pay her Immgrant fee, but have issue.

A# I am putting registration number, but getting message: A-Number does not contain a valid pattern. am I not doing something right or do I have to add something in front of registration number.

I don't know the answer, IT_1, but I work in computers and this is what helps us answer a problem with software:

- What browser are you using? Have you tried using a different browser?

- How are you entering the data? Have you tried it any other way? Does it make a difference if you use upper case (A) or lower case (a) letters? Are you entering other information correctly?

- Where are you entering the data?

- What are the exact words of the error message?

Thank you for your input:

1: I am using internet explorer, and I have not tried diffirent browser. I dont think I am having issue with browser, but when i enter registraction number, I am geeting error. I also add A in from of the number still no success.

2: I have enter the Data correctly and I tried with (EXP: A12345678 and also 12345678).

3: I went to uscis site and register with ELSI to pay immgrant fee.

I am getting following message: A-Number does not contain a valid pattern (i.e. (e.g. A123456789)).

At first glance it looks like you are entering 8 numerical digits when the valid pattern contains 9 numerical digits.

Anyone else? Do numbers vary like this?

Correct, because my wife sent me pic of the visa and it shows onlt 8 digits. why her visa have 8 only..have no idea...

what will be my next step..if there is only 8 numbers..

Put a 0 in front, so 1235678 becomes 01245678. Sometimes they leave out the 0.

a lot of people are going to be thrown back by this new system. I also questioned my husband severally over the phone to read out his number several times as he kept giving me only 8 digits( Mine and several people had 9 digits assigned to them). Thankfully the $165 payment system did not require exactness so our payment went through.

On right pane on that site though, there is a note to put a zero infront of the numbers and one also has to include the letter 'A' before the numbers.
