You should ask your pediatrician. Many doctors advise waiting until a baby is at least 4-6 weeks old before taking the child on a plane, especially a long flight, unless it's absolutely necessary. But it depends on your baby's health. So ask your doctor what he/she thinks and advises.

Well, I don't think it will be an issue at the port of entry. But you might bring a note from the doctor to the airline there in Morocco when you book the tickets and also bring it with you when you actually check in for your flight(s), to show that your doctor says it's ok for your baby to travel (just in case the airline is concerned.) And if you have connecting flights in the US after your port of entry, then you also might bring a certified translation of the doctor's note in English.

Wife of Mahmoud is right - waiting until at least six weeks, and first set of vaccines are on board - is worth considering, especially for a trans-Atlantic flight in my opinion. Airports and planes are so germy.

Some airlines have restrictions on new born travel, it usually affects babies less than 10 days. I would call the airline company and ask them about it. Also, once you decide to travel, call the company and ask them for accommodations especially the baby bassinet.
