Egypt Embassy and she has worked in the same company 18 and half yrs so she has a good amount on it.It was used as a asset. Anyway we found a new co sponsor he will be submitting papers hopefully this week.Let's see what the embassy says about him.

My wife's dad has a very similar situation and his retired too but i asked around and found out that its VERY VERY hard to accept it.That's how i figured out the reason they didn't accept it.By the way, Sorry about the confusion i had about the 401k.Am Egyptian so i don't know

401K is the name of the law that set up a standard type of retirement savings account under certain legal rules. It's not $401,000. A CO will likely refuse to use the 401K savings for an asset because it is costly to withdraw from (there are significant penalties if you do so prior to retirement age) and would likely cause a hardship later (it is your retirement money after all).

Aha...that's why they keep denying it..gotcha.
