Philippines now denying entry to some RSO's

I am a RSO,

I went alone to Vietnam for 3 weeks in 2013, and I went for 3 weeks to the Philippines last month March 2014 as a tourist.

I was not denied entry into these countries.

When I came back to Chicago from Vietnam US immigration searched through my camera and luggage but not thoroughly because they didn't examine my iPhone and they didn't open boxes of gifts. When I returned to Chicago from the Philippines last month they only had me wait 20 minutes while they did a check on me for any warrants I guess and then let me go without any search.

Why wasn't there an alert sent to these countries to deny me entry? Maybe it depends on the crime you were convicted of. My crime was 10 years ago, one count of possession of child porn, a Russian porn site that had some models age 16-17 that I looked at on my computer, no physical contact only looking at it. I took a plea to avoid prison, I admit my mistake of looking at this porn and paid a high penalty, life time registry, 2 years nightmare probation, 2 years treatment, and big legal fees.

I read the GAO report, I believe most of this is only being proposed and not yet law, but I agree with the laws for serious offenders and a child rapist should NOT be able to get a passport!

It took awhile but I think the authorities are starting to look at RSO on a case by case basis. Robbing a bank and stealing a newspaper are both theft but also very different.

I met a nice woman in the Philippines, I don't expect I will be allowed to bring her to the US, and I don't expect I will be granted any kind of permanent Philippine visa, but there is other options of being with her in many other countries that are not as strict.

"Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added on to you Matt 5:33"

Cheers

BTW for the Filipinas out there, don't worry so much about foreign sex offenders that are being watched, you should be more concerned the next time you jump alone into a motorcab with a strange pinoy driver, several people in the Philippines told me there is rape epidemic in the Philippines by pinoy men, especially taxi and motorcab drivers. Don't worry about those who are registered, but those who are NOT registered that have not been caught yet and are off the radar.

Where ever I go, I never even show hint of anything sexually inappropriate, especially in a foreign country where the penalties are hellish.

These days (i.e. ever since the PROTECT Act was passed in 2003), they would more commonly impose lifetime supervised release, if the case went federal.
