Arrrggghhh i'm dying with excitement! Is it usual to find out if we're approved on the same day, or only later?

I hope we made no mistakes on the paperwork, yesterday she found one error on the DS156 but got it corrected in time - i hate that form, so easy to correct an error but introduce a new one which is what happened to us.

Fingers crossed everything goes well and good luck honey!

You will be just fine. My wife is here with me now after arriving March 2nd. I just relaxed and slept with my phone, YM and Skype on next to me. It was a restless night for nothing as all went well. I am sure your Interview will be okay as well. Nothing you can do now anyway but wait it out. Enjoy the journey. Although it seems long, in reality it is not when you are together. We are now almost done with AOS paperwork with just 10 days left lol. I did not want to do another set of forms even though we married April 5th. Good luck with your future.

I'm paraphrasing here and trying to make sense of what happened 'cos i was not at the interview myself, and that would not have helped the situation, so if i leave any ambiguities forgive me but communication is tough until she returns home.

So....They did not even look at the relationship evidence, they said all our paperwork was in order but there is another problem.

7 years ago she saw another guy and they broke it off - he was going to file fiancee visa but then they broke it off. Since then he met another filipina and brought her to the USA, and they have no contact now. So she thought the visa was either not applied for, or was invalid/withdrawn due to him being able to bring a different fiancee over.

At the embassy they informed her that the previous K1 for her is in their system and is not withdrawn, and it's not valid to have multiple petitions for the same beneficiary. She asked before leaving and they said Denied.

On the State Dept site the case is updated to show

"Your case is under administrative processing. Please see the letter you received at your interview for more information."

There is no letter from the interview. Maybe they will mail her one? I have no idea yet so i'm going to write them an email asking for some clarification about what happens next.

It's likely i'll start a new thread to ask for advice about this.

Good luck in your process!

Ratty, it's obvious this girl is out to scam. First someone else, now you. You got lucky - stay away from her.

You could not be more wrong, and there's no way you have enough information from what i posted that you could determine that.

Don't worry about being scammed. You know her better than any of us. Plus, if she's scamming, then she's not that good at it. Waiting 7 years to find a new victim?

I'm not going to be able to help much on what you should do; but calling and emailing the embassy sounds like a good start. Hopefully she can have the previous application withdrawn. I'm sure there have been others who have encountered this problem; so maybe you can get some help soon.

Good luck.

Thanks B_J, you're right, i know her so well and her family, where she works just so much about her yeah she would truly be the worlds worst scammer if she was!

I drafted an email to the embassy already, will send that soon, i want her to get back to Cebu first so she can feel at home and safe to talk 'cos she's just so shaken up right now and skype is so bad, once we can talk better i'll confirm some details of what happened then email the embassy.

I told her not to worry, we will get through this and i am here for her, already told her i will visit again soon.

Thanks for the support B_J it's much needed right now.

Maybe it would have been good intel to know an application was already applied for your fiancee. Regardless, that is the past...it should only get better from here on out!

I found a general help article here
