will they take out blood to test for Hepa? what if it turned out positive?

is that one of the causes for visa denial?

Yes, and as far as I know, yes, hepatitis is a reason for denial, or at least postponment of the visa. Not sure on tha though.

A yeast infection has zero effect on your visa, it's not even a disease. Relax.

Not sure how country specific these things are but I wasn't tested for hepatitis, nor were hepatitis vaccinations required. (Although I had had those.) If I've understood correctly, they can't even deny you a visa if you are HIV+. They did require a negative blood test for syphilis though. Go figure.

No. You can get a yeast infection from anything, even using the wrong products on your bits. All you need is some cream and/or a tablet. It's not a disease, it's a fungal infection that can be treated in a week and just gives you itchy bits.

You'll be fine even if you're diagnosed with vaginal yeast infection, it's not contagious but Hepatitis is another story.

Relax, you'll be okay. God bless you. :)

HIV used to be on the CDC list of "communicable diseases of public health significance", and they used to deny visas for people who were HIV positive. They removed HIV from the list in 2009, not because it's not a threat to public health, but because the disease is not transmitted by casual contact and most people who are infected will take precautions to help ensure they don't infect other people. A lot of badgering from the gay community may have also played a role in removing HIV from the list.

The CDC is responsible for maintaining two lists that can cause a medical denial of a visa. One list is for diseases that the intending immigrant might be infected with, and the other is for preventable diseases for which the intending immigrant must be vaccinated (some vaccines are not always appropriate for some immigrants).

Hep B positive will not even cause a denial. You will be referred to a gastroenterologist for further tests. It has been frequently discussed in the Phils forum, you will not be asked about your medical condition during your interview accdg to VJ member Raven ( I forgot).. I think you will just need a medical certificate from the gastroenterologist.

For your peace of mind, just search for old threads at the Phils forum or even look for Raven so you could ask.. Hope this helps and good luck!

Oh, how I fondly recall experimenting with new feminine hygiene products, then going to the pharmacy in front of a big queue and having to explain in front of loads of people that I had an itchy minge. Canesten Combi. Pill for the internal infection, cream for the external and to help itchies.
