Hi ,

My husband and I have done every thing and all is okay right now. I called the NVC to ask about my case, they told me that I have to send by mail the DS-230 so they can send every thing to the ambassy overseas. I am the wife who lives overseas, my husband is us citizen so I have to complete the form myself but I do nt know how.

we do not have kids yet, what should I write on page 1 from 14 and 25 ? are these informations about me? I mean : spouse maiden or family's name ? what about father's and mother's name ....is this about my parents or my husband's?

I am confused so I need help please.

Could somebody who is in the same case send me an example already filled out ?

Thanks alot for all your help

The intending immigrant is the applicant for the DS-230. All questions are about you. When asked about your father's name, it is your father's name and not your husband's father's name. All information is about you.

Since you have no kids, write "none" or "n/a."

Moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures.

**Organizer hat off**

Since you don't have kids, you would write "None" (N/A is not an appropriate reply for this question because it is applicable).

Thanks for the response but I am Stills confused about answering the question 14 . Spouse's Maiden or family's name ! As I already put my name on case 1 of the page.

Sort for being like stupid but I do not want any mistake .

If someone could explain , I would be greatfull

I just called the nvc, they tôle me to pût my husband´s name who is the us citizen on case 14 of the page 1.

It is confusing right ?

DS 230 is all about your information this has nothing to do with your spouse.

Questions #14 - 17 have to do with your spouse, the US citizen

#14 - write down your spouse's name (yes your spouse is a US citizen. This is your visa application in regards to your spousal visa. write his name down.)

#15 - write down his date of birth and where

#16 - write down his address if you do not live together

#17 - write down his occupation (what his job title is)

#18 - write down the date of your marriage

#19 - write down YOUR father's name

Continue on with your information...

This is incorrect. There are questions on there that specifically ask about a spouse. Because this is a visa application related to a spousal visa, these questions DO ask about a US citizen spouse. This form is used for other types of visas in which case the form would be asking about a non-USC spouse. However in the OP's case, this form does relate to her USC spouse in few questions.
