Why is G-325A biographic information needed for beneficiary?

All the questions are based on the applicant (example: applicants parents, applicants residence last 5 years, applicants employment last 5 years, etc). Nothing asks about beneficiary.

Nevermind. I-130 application specifically asks for beneficiary G-325A, even though all/most questions are for applicant.

There needs to be a G-325a that is filled out with all the petitioner's information AND a G-325a with all the beneficiary's information. "Applicant" in this instance means whomever the form's information pertains to. You do not submit two G-325As with all the same information on both.

Does the beneficiary sign their own G-325A at the bottom of the page for "consular processing", or does the petitioner sign both G-325A's? (For the beneficiary)

If the I-130 beneficiary wasn't in the U.S., the form would be mailed to them for their signature?

In my case, my wife is in the US and luckily she can get her G-325A signed.

I will print and mail that form to my husband, i don't know what others do. Maybe sign at the interview?

I just want to clarify something, you keep mentioning consular filing. Are you currently living in Melbourne? Because you are also saying that your wife is visiting.

If you are currently living in the US and your wife is visiting you in the US, then you aren't doing consular filing. Both of you need to be living you Australia for that to happen.

If you mean that she will go back to Australia for her interview when the time comes, then thats just regular filing. Which also means that the process from filing the I-130 to actually being assigned an interview could be 9 to 10 months down the line and thats if you are lucky.

Right now, NO2s are taking 6-7 months to be approved. And thats only the first step.

Your best bet is to have your wife stay till her 6 months is up, don't let her overstay, have her go back to Melbourne and wait out the last couple months or so till the visa is issued.

B&G. That's exactly the plan. For my wife to go back to Australia just before her 6 months visitor visa expires. If there is an unexpected delay in the NO-2, she can always request an extension on her visa so she doesn't wait too long in Australia. Thanks for clarifying the "regular filing".
