I was so mad when I found out that our petition that should have been forwarded to the NVC has just been sitting at the local field office all this time that processed our I130..well now that USCIS told them to forward it ASAP to the NVC .. I hope they follow thru on it.. here's praying that it reaches NVC fast

If you don't mind me asking how did u find out ur paperwork was still st the local office? I fear the same thing is happening to me :(

Oh yeah!!! Congrats man. This is some good news smile.png

Thanks! I see yours has been moving along as well!

Now I just have to keep myself from calling the NVC every 10 minutes to see if it's shipped out.

SHARE THIS VIDEO to promote the USCIS delays!

finding out over the phone is very difficult unless you get the right IO to help you

the best way is to do an infopass, and if it is still there, don't leave until someone gives you a date it will be sent.. make an infopass right there with them for the day after they say they will send it

also request follow up by the 130 supervisor

I found out from NVC Research that mine was sent to the L.A. local office.

Since then we have contacted our congressman and they left a message for my husband saying our file was sent to NVC on June 18. It took them a week to locate it and get it sent to NVC. I'm very impressed...

Will they give me the exact date? The other infopasses I've been to have been horrible. The reps have been rude and unwilling to give me specific info. When my case was misfiled I made an infopass and demanded to know when it would be pulled out of storage and reviewed and the rep only said "it could be anywhere from 30 days to 6 months". Maybe I have to be more stern or cry right there to let them know how frustrated I am.

there are a couple of handy tools.. one is reporting individuals for improper conduct

the second is the supervisor you will need to speak to

have you done all the other work... congressman, omnibudsman, service request, letters, etc?

the "reps" answer was unacceptable

I think you should call, both USCIS and NVC.

We waited for about 2 weeks, then they finally said they lost our packet or couldnt trace it or something, but bottom line was it's nowhere in USCIS/NVC, which of course made us panic! So my husband scanned and emailed the NOA2 notice and emailed it to nvcresearch I think, cant remember the email add right now.

My husband also wrote to his congressman and senator and on June 11, we were told that our packet just arrived at NVC on June 10. Our NOA2 was May 3. We lost about a month, grr!
