Good day,

I'm confused. My wife had her CR1 appointment in Ciudad Juarez in February 2013 and her visa was granted.

She entered the US in April 2013, and we are currently waiting for her green card to arrive. She already got her social security card and her California ID.

BUT today we got this email from USCIS, do you know what it means: SEE BELOW:

We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

So you are currently waiting for the green card ti come? They must have made a mistake on sending you this, is the receipt number correct. Contact them asap

Hello Anna...

Yes, there must be some automated error. I got like 5 emails....which were all the same. And yes, I did check the receipt number and it's the correct one.

By the way, the green card arrived 2 days after I got the email. It's just weird.

I contacted USCIS, and as you know they are highly trained individuals...they didn't know what to say.

Anyways, I could care less now. I'm not worried anymore, as my wife has her green card in hand.
