I was planning on it in Montreal but I may price out going to toronto for 2 days then montreal for 2 days.. Not sure... I think medisys needs 3 days to give results back. I'm scared of booking a horrible hotel too. >_<

Where are you at again? I was considering the one doctor in Scarborough as I'm in North York but they were too busy and kept me on hold for over 10 minutes when I called. I think all the ones in Toronto and surrounding areas charge the same amount too.

I haven't looked at costs for doing it in Montreal since that'll be an extended stay there..i'm scared of booking a bad hotel too

Trying to use the search option on VJ and it doesnt seem to be working at all. I could've sworn I've seen a guide on what to do after getting case complete but cannot remember where that is. What's my next step?

I know about waiting for interview date, once I get that I can book my medical exam. What should I be doing next?

Not much to do until the interview date is assigned. Once it is, then you can book your medical. If you're missing any vaccines, get them done now, as they'll likely be cheaper at a clinic than at a panel physician.

Although it may not matter, I recommend waiting until the case has arrived at Montreal before signing up for Loomis.

Besides the medical and Loomis, all you have left to do is gather all the documents for the interview.

LOL you and me both!!!

I'm in Alberta. So I'm not anywhere close to anything. They should have put a panel physician in Calgary. Stupid to have 4 within a few hours of each other in a country the size of Canada. Really really stupid.

I agree. They should have the physicians in other cities instead of a cluster around Toronto. Are you driving over or flying? If you stay in any Toronto/downtown hotel I'd suggest you stick with the downtown doctors.

I am not sure, it seems so random, several people had different experiences.

I asked my congressman to follow up and also sent an email. I will call them tomorrow...

This now got to the peak of ridicule!

I'm flying. I would never drive that far. 3-4 days in a car? No thanks. Besides it doesn't save any money when I can get Montreal round trip for $600ish.

I still think it's funny we both met our husband's playing COD. rofl.gif

As long as you're not the only one. For those that have to go back to pick up the visa, was it just that, to pick up the visa? Or was there some sort of second interview?

I'd suggest calling up DOS tomorrow and inquiring about your case.

Yes there was another girl in the same case as my wife and they told her same thing. They still have the passport and told them to come back 05/27 for pick up (no interview). They said they process the visas in batches but that's not accurate in my sense.

The DOS website says the visa is issued and printed. Which number to call for DOS?

Is this the first time you're hearing about people being called back in there? Maybe a newbie officer messed up if it's new.

The number for DOS is in the first post, near the bottom, right under the NVC number.
