By looking at Igor's list , it looks as though October 23 , is as far as they have gotten and its easy to read if you sort by all petitions. Some background checks may be taking longer, and there may be questions on others from earlier dates. Remember , VJ is a small percentage of the total filers and although they are claiming 5 months , it's really 7-8 months. Pray and wait. that's all we can do .

Actually there is something we can do, the CSC people bombarded their reps and the obudsman with calls and letters and CSC picked up the pace

No that's like a glitch my # changed in january I don't expect a NOA2 till july or august :(. I am upset that a this visa is taking the same amount of time as the CR1. At this point its useless. I would advise anyone to just go thru the CR1

Oct 18th... Got a stupid RFE, I know other October filers getting RFEs but not many approved. Sent back what they asked for on the same day we received it so hoping RFE-approval doesn't take too long.

I think you December filers are probably looking at July for approval.

Hang on in there everyone, I know when you find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with you want to start the rest of your life now, but we have no choice but to be patient. I am busy sewing bridesmaids dresses & anything else I can do ahead of having a date & venue.

Actually if you get the alien notice shortly afer you have applied...then yes, it means nothing...but if you have been waiting on your petition for six or more months and then get this message, then you get good news within a week to ten days...that's what has been happening... :)

Yes, definitely. I had just contacted two congressional offices when I was approved. I don't think they had done anything yet and our approval in the same time frame was coincidental (a few others in my "group" were also approved yesterday). But if nothing else, it made me feel better to know that someone out there knew there was a backlog and was pushing USCIS.

It will make you feel proactive - I suggest writing/calling your representatives and senators to complain and investigate your situation. There have been cases on here of people approved really soon after contacting a rep. It might bring your app closer to the top of the stack!

Actually it is not a glitch for filers starting in November this has happened shortly after recipt of the noa1 for everyone before that this message usually indicates a noa2 or RFE is in the works
