Hi - We have been approved at USCIS and the case is with NVC at the moment. I am keen to get the medical done and dusted but have no details on where to get this done.

Where / when do I find out this information?

Help appreciated!

Thanks all

Before you can book the medical you need the 'LND' (case specific for the London Embassy) number from the NVC.

I am at exactly the same stage at the minute.

As soon as i have the 'LND' number from the NVC, I will prepare packet 3, book the medical, have the medical and then send packet 3. I don't want to risk my case not being at the embassy and have everything on the way!

See this for the medical info....

Ps. Do you have a timeline?

If you haven't already, please be sure to visit the UK forum and read the pinned K1s from NOA2 to Interview thread. (Yes, it's a huge thread, but it's filled with a lot of great information that tends to get asked repeatedly, so it's worth reading.) In addition to needing your LND to book the medical, you will also need passport-sized photos and a copy of your police certificate to take to Knightsbridge.

Packet 3 are the visa application forms filled out by the person who will be receiving the K-1 visa. They're listed on the page Rob linked you to.

Thanks Rob

What do you mean "send packet 3"??

OK thanks - but these are all sent TO me (the petitioner) from the London embassy, right.

First, a quick check on semantics:

Petitioner = Person who filed the I-129F petition and provides the I-134 and its supporting documentation to...

Beneficiary/Visa Applicant = Person applying for the K-1 visa, who will attend the medical at Knightsbridge and be interviewed at the U.S. Embassy in London

You can download the forms and complete them from the embassy website. There isn't a formal "packet" of forms sent. You'll just receive a letter with the same web address telling you to download the forms, complete them, and mail them back in.

Again, I highly recommend visiting the K1: NOA2 to Interview thread in the UK forum so you can be as prepared as possible.

Great thanks for your reply - sorry getting my beneficiary and petitioner mixed up there! Got it now! I will crack on with filling out the forms while waiting for my number from NVC.

Sorry just one last question: Form DS-230 asks for "spouse" details....as we are only engaged at this point and not married I should just put "N/A" in this field at present, right?

Correct. And you only need Part I, not Part II.

Hello. I was wondering fi you could help me.

My case is with the NVC at the moment. I have my new LDN case number, and i have all of my vaccination records and the police certificates. I was wondering, do I have to wait for my case to get to London before I can book the medical or can I go ahead and do that now. If this means I can speed the process up by one day that would be great.

Thank you!

Knightsbridge won't book you a medical until you have your LDN number, but you've got that - so yeah, book it in. See the UK regional forum for pinned threads on medicals and NOA2 to Interview threads in London for more advice.

Just be a little careful. If you have your medical and your case has not yet arrived in London when they receive the results, then there may be a problem i.e. they receive the results for a case number that they have no record of. You don't know how long your case will be in NVC - ours entered AP and remained there for over 2 weeks. It may be better to wait until you know that your case has actually been sent to London. Have you completed all the forms that you will be requested to complete in the 'packet 3' letter? They are here - http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html They can be sent once you know that your case has arrived in London. You don't have to actually wait to receive the 'packet 3' letter.

Ours was sent from NVC to London on Friday 10 May and arrived on Monday 13 May. Once you know that it has been sent, you can track it using the info in this thread - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/302190-dhl-tracking-from-nvc-to-us-embassy/

Our 'packet 3' letter was sent out by London embassy on Monday 20 May and I received it on Wednesday 22 May.
