my husband has applied for me I130 from Dallas-texas and im the beneficiary from UK. It is now the 7th month and we are still waiting for a reply after our NOA 1. We got in touch with our congressman in dallas and the secretary replied today saying this....

Below is the response our office received from the CIS Dallas Field Office. The agency has decided that they want to interview your husband before they render a decision on the I-130 petition. This occasionally happens. He should receive an interview notice sometime within the next 30 to 60 days.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records confirm that the I-130 petition is located here at the Dallas Filed Office. The petition is in the process of being scheduled for an interview. Mr..... should receive correspondence from USCIS within the next forty five (45) days.

has anybody else had anything like this?? please share

thanks

That is not common. They want to talk to him to make sure everything is OK and the relationship is legit. You are neither approved nor denied. He needs to have all his facts straight and every bit of paperwork he can gather to prove that you are a bona fide relationship. He may face a few questions, or an intensive interview. It may be a formality for quality control, or they may suspect something is up. If you really are a bona fide marriage, this is your time to shine. :)

no, this is not the thing called an 'infopass'.

This is something else.

Your final statement is correct, though .
